Exciting events for Kingston Pirates Week
Kingston is once again set to come alive with the sights, sounds, and spirit of adventure as Kingston Pirates Week 2025 sets sail from October 29 to November 2, bringing together a vibrant blend of entertainment, history, and community.
The week-long celebration promises something for everyone, offering a series of events that capture the heart of Jamaica's capital and the rich maritime legacy of Port Royal -- once famed as the 'wickedest city on Earth' and now recognised by UNESCO as a National Heritage Site. At the heart of the celebration is the Port Royal Pirates & Seafood Festival, scheduled for November 2, at the Historic Naval Dockyard, Port Royal Cruise Ship Port. This signature event is expected to draw thousands of patrons to the Kingston coastline for an unforgettable experience that merges history, family fun, and world-class entertainment.
The festival will transform the dockyard into a lively coastal carnival, featuring live action-adventure performances, culinary delights from Jamaica's best seafood vendors, rides, cultural showcases, and non-stop entertainment. With its playful, fully interactive pirate theme, the festival caters to both children and adults, offering a memorable experience that blends humour, adventure, and history in true Jamaican fashion.
"Kingston Pirates Week offers something for everyone - from the high-energy parties to the family-friendly activities and the community-driven experiences that connect us to our roots," said Peter Shoucair, event promoter. "The week's diversity reflects Kingston's energy and creativity, and the Port Royal Pirates & Seafood Festival is where it all comes together - an event for families, food lovers, and fun seekers to enjoy a world-class experience right here in Jamaica."
Beyond the festival, Kingston Pirates Week presents a dynamic mix of events designed to showcase the best of Kingston and Port Royal. Among them are: SupaHeavy Pirates Night at Janga's Sound Bar & Grill; Riddims & Rum: A Pirate Merritione Fete; and the Port Royal Street Dance. The week also includes meaningful community initiatives such as the Pirates Beach Clean-Up, reinforcing the festival's message of unity, fitness, and giving back.
