My daughter got an STD … I told her to leave her boyfriend
Dear Pastor,
I was away and I missed my favourite show, but I am glad to be back. I want to wish everybody, all my friends, a very happy Christmas. I have a daughter who is only 20 years old. She found out that she had gonorrhoea. She and I are very close.
She was having a discharge and a burning feeling and when she explained to me these symptoms, I asked her when last she had sex and she told me she is only having sex with her boyfriend. And most times, they have oral sex.
I told her to go to the doctor and so she did. I told her also that she should leave her boyfriend and so she ended the relationship with him. Now, he hates me and is accusing me of breaking up the relationship between himself and my daughter.
Pastor, do you think I am wrong to tell my daughter to leave him?
O.P
Dear O.P,
You don't need to be worried about what this guy is saying about you. If your daughter had not gone with any other man, and she was only intimate with this man, it was he who passed on this disease to her.
He cannot be trusted and you were quite correct in telling your daughter to leave him. It is good to know that your daughter and yourself can have such discussions and that she would follow your advice.
Pastor
