Minor among four charged with robbery spree

A minor and a man who was recently placed on probation are among four accused persons accused of going on a heist sometime last month, stealing money and other valuables from persons across three police divisions.

Oshane Reid, Dwayne McIntosh, Javani Green and the 17-year-old are charged with receiving stolen property, robbery with aggravation and unlawful possession of property. The teen cannot be named as he is a minor. Details of the allegations were not shared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday, however, investigators contend that the men robbed persons in Kingston East, Kingston Central and St Andrew South divisions.

The minor was not present in court on Wednesday, as a writ was not prepared to have him taken from the juvenile facility to make his first court appearance. Prosecutors indicate that the case files are not complete, as scenes of crime report are outstanding.

Senior Parish Judge Paula Blake-Powell requested the men's criminal records and made them subjects of fingerprint order. Reid, McIntosh, Green and the minor were remanded in custody and are to be brought to court on May 17, when the matter is set for mention.
