Former JC star wins high jump at US meet
FORMER Jamaica College high jumper Clayton Brown made a winning start indoors for his new school the University of Florida last Saturday.
Brown cleared 2.25 metres to capture the men's high jump at the Clemson Orange and Purple Invitational meet.
Brown, who won the Class One high jump at last year's ISSA Boys and Girls' Championships and finished fourth in the triple jump, was pleased with his performance.
"I feel very good about my performance and I did better than I expected", said Brown. He is looking forward to more success during the season.
"The competition here is great, and I am looking for more success in the season," concluded Brown, who will compete in the Virginia Technical meet in another two weeks.
