Demand rises for water-saving shower amid drought Demand rises for water-saving shower amid drought
It was during a drought in 2014, that Jovan Evans, owner of Aqua Flow, got frustrated with bathing out of a bucket. So he decided to create his own shower, he did this by inventing the pump and spray water dispenser, a device that is attached to a water bottle and allows you to spray water on the body while showering.
"I had gotten tired of bathing out of a bucket when wata gone, so I developed a bottle shower. I realised at the time that I was making it that so many people had the same problem," he said

Evans said his invention became even more popular in the 2015 drought. And during this drought season, the demand for the pump and spray is increasing.
"It's a seasonal item, persons gravitate to it when there's problem with the NWC. Now, things are picking up," he said.
"But some people use it throughout the year because of their water situation. People who rent, and students who do not have any control over the infrastructure in their homes," he said
Evans said his invention also helps to save water.
"It uses three times less water. One bottle can be used to shower an adult, so it's easier to regulate the water usage, and when you have a family, everybody could have their bottle," he said
