A man has eaten 30,000 McDonald's burgers throughout his life and claims they are his "perfect food".

Don Gorske, a retired prison officer from Wisconsin, ate his milestone meal at the popular fast-food chain in Fond du Lac, where he ate his first burger after getting his driving licence in 1972.

He told the Fond du Lac Reporter: "This one is a biggie for me.

"As soon as I got my first car, this is the first place I came to. The first day I came here, I ate nine Big Macs. It was like I couldn't get enough hamburger at that time."

The self-proclaimed 'Big Mac maniac' ate two burgers a day and even proposed to his wife under the golden arches of the iconic McDonald's sign, but he insists he is in good health despite remarks from health-conscious people.

He said: "People make fun of me, but it never bothered me. At my last medical check-up, I had low cholesterol, and my blood pressure was perfect."

A new study has found that sharks enjoy jazz music.

Scientists at Australia's Macquarie University Fish Lab discovered that the deep-water creatures react better to the genre music typically made with horns, piano, keyboards, drums and guitar than classical music and are intelligent enough to register the link between sound and food in some cases.

However, the study is still in its early stages, and associate professor Calum Brown says the sharks need more observing to draw further conclusions.

But he hopes the study will help "shift opinions" of the misunderstood creatures.

He said: "It was obvious that the sharks knew that they had to do something when the classical music was played, but they couldn't figure out that they had to go to a different location.

"The task is harder than it sounds because the sharks had to learn that different locations were associated with a particular genre of music, which was then paired with a food reward.

"Gaining a better understanding of this will help grow positive public opinion of sharks and may shift public and political will towards their conservation."

A lorry spilt 24 tons of melted chocolate on to a highway in Poland.

The gooey stuff fell out after the vehicle overturned causing six lanes to close, and the responding firefighters warned that once the sweet treat hardens, it can be "worse than snow".

The driver of the lorry carrying the chocolate was reportedly taken to hospital with a broken arm, with no other injuries reported.

Fire chief Bogdan Kowalski told TVN24: "It will take several hours.

"Once it hardens, chocolate's worse than snow."
